While learning the art of Raag music my obsession with the music grew alongside a fascination for the sound of sitars and for their making. Since many years I have my own workshop in Jena and I optimize my own instruments and restore old sitars for a new life. Instruments with heavy internal issues like warped necks etc. I pass on to my friend Klaas of sitarfactory in Belgium -a highly skilled expert. A bunch of very unique instruments will be documented on this site: some of my personal collection and some from friends, colleagues or instruments that i repaired.
