Besides the well known instrument makers Hiren Roy and Hemen, the Radha Krishna Sharma workshop was one of the finest sitar makers during the golden days (roughly the 1940ies-1980ies) of sitar making in Kolkata. I found that old RKS sitars are among the most satisfying instruments for players that are looking for a slightly more open and resonant sound with lots of dynamic possibilities and instant attack. This one is a great example of just these qualities. It is very well preserved and has been completly restored to its best capabilities on my workbench. Toon-wood, original horn bridges, original upper tumba, 11 taraf strings, half decoration, kharaj-string hook on last fret.
