Ishtiaque Ahmed Khan was one of the finest but least documented instrumentalists of his time. Since his father Keramatullah Khan expired when he was barely nine, Ishtiaque contiued his taleem under his father´s senior disciples Kalidas Pal and Shafiqullah Khan. Besides his regular broadcasts for AIR Delhi Ishtiaque was a frequent performer at music conferences all over India. He was sent to perform in China and Afghanisthan by the Indian government and trained his family members.
