Mukhtiar Ahmed Khan has been trained by his father Ishtiaque Ahmed Khan. He served at the Sangeet Kala Kendra in New-Delhi and at AIR Delhi for a long time and later worked as All India Radio Artist at Patna. Besides his family members he also trained Chuni Lal, Rajkumari Kanchan and Rajkumari Jayant. This picture of him performing on the Kaukub-Banjo and two recordings -Ragas Multani and Gara- is all we have of him.
